A New Program to Support Prostitutes has Been Launched in Mexico
The Mexican government had denied and ignored the danger of coronavirus until the number of infections recorded throughout history was to deal with the situation, authorities imposed strict quarantine measures and kept all hotels, tourist resorts and entertainment centers closed. Thousands of contract workers quickly became unemployed, but prostitutes were hit hard by these actions. This is the reason for the ‘Orchids’ government program aimed at helping representatives of the Pander sex industry in Mexico get started.
Financial losses
Since prostitution is legal in Mexico, those caught with financial problems applied for state aid. Before the epidemic, they were working in resorts and hotels where the majority of their customers were international tourists. However, due to the ban, all these facilities were eventually closed and the relocation of tourism forced the ladies to take to the streets in search of customers. This fierce market is controlled by two gangs of criminals who, along with fierce competition, have made decisions to ‘protect’ farmers’ incomes from not being enough to cover food.
Girls who searched for clients online also had problems: While the number of employees increased, the number of clients decreased significantly. On escorts we see that the number of new prostitutes is increasing, while the number of participants is decreasing. Such a crisis caused the moths, who are honest taxpayers, to ask for help from the state. Prostitute Support Program
The name of the Mexican government’s support project for working girls is “Orchid”. According to the rules, all prostitutes in need of financial support must go through the registration process on a special website, and funds for the social sector are raised with the support of Prostitute programs. The one-time fee of $280 is quite high by Mexican standards.
More than 4,000 sex workers registered in the first week of the project. And on the first day of payment, long queues of prostitutes formed in front of the social doors.
